Eskom is now accepting applications for the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme for 2025/2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young, unemployed South Africans to gain practical work experience in one of the country’s most important industries.
Applications close: 19 September 2025
Where: Eskom Arnot Power Station, Mpumalanga (with placements also available across South Africa)
Duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)
Who Can Apply
To qualify, you need to:

Be a South African citizen

Be between 18 and 34 years old

Have completed Grade 12 (or an equivalent qualification) and/or a post-matric certificate/programme
-
Not have been permanently employed for more than one year with a single employer
-
Not studying full-time in 2025 / 2026

Not having taken part in the YES initiative before
